Not as good as I'd hoped.
Andrew261 04.06.2020
Firstly, delivery was quick but I can't understand why Thomann dispatched a seperate, large, box for a small plug adapter? Seemed a bit of a waste to me.
The drums seem to be of a reasonable quality, pads are pretty responsive and cymbals are decent. The frame is a little wobbly, needed some serious tightening up. The frame is also not suited for taller players, I feel the pads are a little low and I'm having trouble getting them higher for more comfortable playing.
The pedals look the part and the bass pedal is quite good, but, the hi-hat pedal leaves a lot to be desired. You have to depress it fully to get a response, so unlike a real pedal, and the contact doesn't always produce a sound...I'll be replacing that with a better one.
The sounds are ok but, they have a false sound to them and have a lot of 'aftersound' like a buzzing decay, I don't know if that is standard across all of these kits, but if I was using this kit to record or play live I would be highly upset by it...luckily I'm using it to brush up skills and practice.
The sound module is reasonably user friendly but sits in an awkward position on the frame and is quite difficult to see and change settings. It sits below the hi-hat, not a good position.
It sounds as though I'm giving this kit a hard time, but they are not too bad for the price. They would suit a learner who will play them in their bedroom, honing their skills until they graduate to a more professional kit.

Great quality for the money!

This set has everything you would ask from an electronic set and it doesn't cost that much. Plenty of sounds, choke function to the cymbals, rim shot to the snare and very good quality in general. I am pleased with this purchase!

Great value that really shines with some help
zeyus 04.05.2022
So I've had this kit for almost 2 years now, and played it a LOT. I've been in a few bands and played some gigs as a drummer and bass player, but I'm not a professional musician or skilled drummer. The reason I mention it is to say, I know and understand a fair bit about sound and sound quality, and can keep a beat, but not familiar with advanced drumming techniques so I can't comment on that kind of thing.

Setup:
Setup was pretty easy, it's all modular and the frame isn't bad it feels like it wont break easily but requires a lot of fuss to get into a nice position where it actually seems stable. The wiring and modules are easy to connect and as soon as you've done that and plug in a speaker or headphones, you're ready to go!

Quality:
The pads feel quite nice, it's different from a real kit but they're springy enough and after 2 years of regular playing are still in tact (I tend to hit on the harder side).
I really like the kick pedal, it feels pretty good and is quite dynamic.
The high hat is definitely a weak point, the pedal has only 3 stages: open, half open, closed. The problem is by default, on a range of 0-100% depressed, 0-95 is open 95-99.9 is half-open, 99.9-100 is closed, requiring a significant amount of pressure to activate the full-closed sound.
You can trigger the hat closing sound without hitting it by depressing the pedal fully and it works pretty well.
The ride and crash are ok but aren't really dynamic, and the mute is functional but is hard to press quickly (it's just one squishy button so you have to target it quickly and accurately with a finger pinch) and basically just does a quick fade-out.

Sounds / features:
The default sounds are fine, not amazing, not terrible. There's a range of kits and sounds, you can reassign them and change the parameters for each, and by default they all have a reverb effect which you have to toggle when you change kits. Additionally it has a bunch of training songs which are actually not bad to practice to and offer a range of beats and styles, you can also bring an AUX IN so you can play along to your own music while listening on headphones.
The other thing is as far as I can see there's no way to remap the pedals etc so, I'm not sure if you could rig up a double kick, I thought I could use the hat pedal to even just trigger a sounds but it seems not.

Finally, the redemption...

Turns out that this kit can become really really good by making use of the USB MIDI connection and plugging into a drum synth VST or DAW. Here you get to see how this kit could have sounded off the shelf with a slightly better synth/sound module. The dynamic range of the pads, kits and cymbals are actually pretty good it turns out and with a good synth you can really make it sound like a solid kit. Plus the fact that I can integrate it and make some beats then just work directly with them in my DAW makes it a really useful tool for music production.

So, should you buy this kit? If you're considering it, you probably should! I haven't once regret it, but if you're looking for a kit to play for gigs, this probably isn't it...for practice, fun, jamming with friends, music production and most other things? It's a lot of fun!

D
good set for beginners
Dr.ilk 07.11.2018
This electronic set is useful for practising at home but not for upper level or professional drummers. Material quality is awesome but playability and sounds are good but not perfect. This drum is ideal more likely for beginners and mid levels. But for it's price, best option in alternatives.

This drumset is good for beginners like me, but has some litle troubles like the hihat pedal, is not sensitive as I think that should be, also the snare if you play softly will be play the ring sound and must be the snare sound. I recommend for beginners. And I think hasn't other drumset better for the same price.

Good quality for the price
Steven2428 17.06.2016
The Behringer XD80USB is my first e-drum set, so I don't have a lot to compare it too.

Setup was easy, with simple directions. It came with a "quick start" guide, no detailed manual. This makes it difficult to really dig into the features. To do some editing I found it necessary to reference manuals for similar drum sets from other brands.

I use this mostly to trigger BFD software drums. The built in sounds are ok for practicing, but I think lacking to record. As a controller it works pretty well. It does seem to occasionally drop a hi hat hit, and I haven't figured out how to edit the settings to prevent that.

Overall, a great starter e drum set.

These are the best guys! Excellent drums, super quality. Thank you very much. I advise everyone to order from them. In Russia, intermediaries sell 3 times more expensive. The package arrived in St. Petersburg in 11 days.
