Quality is great, but version S is NOT compatible with a HH-configuration
I bought this some months ago because the switch in my guitar was defective. Thomann is my first-to-go-website for my guitar parts, as I live in Germany and the products are delivered pretty quick everytime.
My guitar has a dual humbucker configuration and I decided to order myself the Schaller Megaswitch version S, as the description and images on the website showed me that this switch is compatible with a dual humbucker configuration.
I installed this switch in my guitar and searched the wiring diagram at Schallers website and there I found out that this switch is not at all compatible with a dual humbucker configuration, but only with a S-S-S or H-S-S configuration (and some other configurations).
I don't own a H-S-S guitar yet, but I will keep this switch until I have one and install it then. Meanwhile I have ordered the switch in version T (which is a 3-way for a H-H configuration) at Schallers webshop, as this one is not available at Thomann.
I would kindly advice Thomann to adjust the productdescription for this switch.

Top Class switching from Schaller.
I purchased this switch for a scratch build project. The guitar is a Ibanez Jem clone so the switch needed to be able to handle the different pickup combinations. Schaller provides some excellent support on their website with respect to wiring so I was able to fit the switch with little or no problems. In use it has a very positive action. There is no sloppiness that may lead you to doubts over your pickup selection. There is no noise. This has been the case since it was fitted over a year ago. This switch has definitely lived up to expectations and it is something that I would recommend. Do some research on the Schaller website to make sure that you purchase the switch that you need. I will be buying more as I need them.

Works perfect
I bought this switch to replace the original 5way switch that I had on my Squier Strat.
You can feel the durability of the product since the first touch. It's solid and moves nice when you are trying to change the position.
A year later I can tell you that I am very satisfied with the product. The switching is impeccable, no electrical clicks, works like new and boy I am the type of player that switches a lot between the pickups. I strongly recommend it.

essential for any guitar
I changed the Switch that came from factory for these, immediately notice that they look more solid and resistant than the previous ones and no longer make noise, amazing product
It is also interesting that it allows different wiring configurations without the need to use push-pull pots or complicated Super-switches

Well made and easy to wire
I installed this in a 2021 Squire Affinity Stratocaster with 2 single coils and a humbucker (HSS).
Installation on the pickguard was easy. The provided screws fitted the pickguard with no issues.
Wiring was also straightforward and the solder pads were easy to solder the wires to. I have it set up for the tone 1 pot controlling the neck and middle single coils (Bridge 5+6 together and wire either to tone pot 1) and tone 2 controlling the bridge (Solder to pad 7).
My wiring for the above Stratocaster set up is as follows:
1 - Middle (Single coil) input
2 - Neck (Single coil) input
3 - Bridge (Humbucker) input
4 - Output to volume pot
5 + 6 Connect together & output to tone 1
7 - Output to tone 2 for bridge humbucker
8 - Connect to pad 4
I was expecting the switch to have a clunky, mechanical feel to it but it actually has a gentle click when moving between pickup positions. I think I would have preferred a more 'clunky' sound when switching pickups but it's personal preference and it doesn't effect the functioning of the switch.
There are wiring diagrams in English and German on Schaller's website for many wiring combinations. They were a big help to me.
I think that this switch is quite expensive but it feels very well made and it was easy to install. In the overall picture, an extra €10 spent for this seems a fair amount and I would purchase from Schaller again.

Very well made after market switch
I got a great deal on vintage strat. The stock switch was derelict. I opted for the Schaller because it looked very clean. It sure was a breeze to connect. Once set, everything feels clean. The pickup selection is just right, neither stiff nor lose. Deutsche Qualität all around.
Highly recommended if you need to replace your old 5-Way or wish to upgrade your loose switch.

Great Switch, built as a tank
Although I have a relatively expensive guitar, the original switch was of poor quality and broke after a few months. I use the switch quite a lot.
In the past I bought a switch from a known for another Strat I have. That one is pretty good and it works perfect since +4 years, but the quality didn't convince me. So I decided to give a try to Schaller due to the good reputation and the descriptions I found in their website.
I'm really happy with it. It is built as a tank, the selector moves easily and stays firmly in any position. There is no noise at all while changing the positions forth and back. It is definitely a 5-star.
