Best available alternative for a decent price! I bought it as a replacement for a Floyd Rose Special ( not so sure what's so special about it....) which was installed on my Fender Player HSS Floyd Rose.
Much more stable and pivots smoothly. Excellent Trem!
One little thing to keep in mind: The screws to lock the strings are a few mils longer than the Floyd Rose's. This might be a problem for the cavity in the guitar. I solved this to use the original FR's screws which fit perfectly!

Got this tremolo for a replacement for my 2002 Ibanez RG. The unit itself is solid and clearly well made (like all from Gotoh!) The only issues I found is that the bridge did not fit into the cavity on my RG and therefore needing routing. Also, the posts that come with the bridge on are large (or bigger than the original post on my RG). However, once the bridge was installed post the routing and set up....... THIS BRIDGE IS SERIOUSLY GOOD! Holds tune even after actively trying to detune while smashing the whammy bar over and over again as a test! A nice addition is that the tremolo arm screws in, so can be loose, easily movable or stationary. I highly recommend this tremolo for anyone looking for an upgrade, and a great price too!

best trem you can buy, and at this price, wow. If it costed more it would still be the best. You can really see and feel the attention to detail, nothing feels rough on it, screws etc

Schon optisch, ist das Gotoh Tremolo seinen Mitbewerbern weit voraus.
Die Radien an den Böckchen sehen einfach super aus...und man schranzt sich bei Schredden (wenn man echt richtig drückt) auch nicht den halben Handballen an irgend einer blöden Kante weg.
Ich habe es in eine Washburn aus den 90ern eingebaut. Die hatte dieses "ich wäre gerne ein Schaller FR" Ding drin.
Nicht nur, dass die Gitarre optisch extrem aufgewertet wurde, auch das Sustain hat sich mit dem Gotoh FR um Lichtjahre verbessert. Am wichtigsten: das Ding hält die Stimmung...auch nach gefühlt 20 Bombs!
Extreme Kaufempfehlung!!!
