I’ve tried them all and these are still the best!

I’ve tried them all and these are still the best! Yes, I’ve tried them all and these are still the best!
I’ve tried the original jazz iii red black and ultex, the ultex 2mm, wegen picks, gravity acrylic and gold, blue chip, dava, piglet, buffalo horn and all in between. One thing I’ve learnt from the boutique picks and from classical guitar technique is that bevelling the pick for right or left hand speed both opens up the sound and reduces resistance massively. All you need is a nail file. With that in mind, my shredding takes me through one of these fellas every 3 days, so durability only gets 4/5. However the size along with the stiff quality and bevel makes for a rapid loud and super ergonomic and economical pick that I think is still the best and the others still copy. The ultex XL then the nylon come after this top pick. Like I said,I’ve tried them all and jazz iii xl stiffo are still the best!

The only picks I use anymore
James K. 20.05.2018
I've tried Delrin, Tortex, Nylons, Ultex picks ect. and all different shapes and sizes but once I tried these theres no going back.
The pick is about as big as a regular tortex size, maybe a little bigger, however its in the jazz 3 shape, and the black picks with stiffo have a more aggressive, clear, definite sound.
I haven't used anything else since trying these out and have now bought these in bulk.

You must give these picks a try!
Adam O. 26.07.2015
I never was a lover of thick picks, but I decided to order these on the recommendation of a friend. I must say, I was astounded. In short, these are the best picks I have ever used. From the grip to the quality, they are perfect for me. I feel that the size and shape is perfect. If you are having trouble deciding what picks are for you, I highly recommend that you at least try these out. I promise that you won't regret it. Ever since I started using them, I feel that my technique has improved greatly, and there's no reason why you wouldn't feel the same.

I literally can't say enough good things about these plectrums. Add them to your cart now.

My favourite picks

Unfortunately, these picks are not sold in my country (I don’t know why at all), although this is probably the best thing that could be invented. Perfect shape, perfect thickness, perfect material. I use red ones for playing in the genre of fusion, progressive rock, and black ones in the genre of metal, progressive metal.

For The Electric Alley, The Dunlop Jazz II XL are the best choice. We are currently touring around Spain and both guitarists use those amazing plectrums. It's not typical, but we think those are the best plectrums to play hard rock.
Our music has been recorded using them, this is our new LP:

Dunlop Plectrums Jazz III XL Black

First time I heard about those from Children of Bodom guitarist Alexi Laiho. When I tried it, at the same moment it glued to my fingers. It is quite small, but the attack with the strings is perfect. After all, when I tried other picks they seemed to be not so comfortable. Personally I bought the set of 24 picks, so I don't need to care for it for a long time.

Read my feedback for the standard size. These are even better for big hands. Love them.

One of my most use picks
Medvedotron 08.02.2019
It's big, holds well and it lasts for ever. With sharp edge for brighter sound. Although I'd say it's not 5/5 for grip because I'm still able to unconciously move it in my hand (compared to D-Grip for example).

Love these picks
Anonymous 30.01.2015
I got onto the Jazz III's a few years back and loved them for shredding/practising but struggled using them in a gigging context where you can lose a little bit of grip under hot conditions etc.... or you may have had a few beers and lost a bit of that accuracy.

This is where the XL ones came into great use for me.

Fort anyone not used to them, they are just the same as any other "normal" sized pick but the standards are small, They're pretty rigid, great grip on them and black as a very black thing.

Would I replace them if I lost them or had them stolen?

Not really as I already have a house full of them in red and black!
