Mooer Micro DI

First let's point out that this can be used as a buffer, the jack output is not a through but an active output. And it is very flat so with the 1MOhms input this is good according to me. So all options of attenuation/boost and cab sim also apply to this output. Of course we don't want to use these if to use as a buffer....
But with this cab sim we could think that it is more intended to be directly send into a speaker or a console. But unfortunately it cannot be powered by Phantom and you need a supply for it. I think this is a significant drawback.
The next major drawback is the none flat XLR balanced output. Not only nonidentical to the jack unbalanced output, the response falls quite drastically towards the low frequency with a -3dB cutoff at ~120Hz!! So this product is definitely not to be used as a regular DI. I guess it is still ok to use the balanced output with the cab sim ON then, because the response is anyway heavily modified, so it is probably not a big deal to loose in the low end in that case... But it will be different than the unbalanced jack output.
I am not sure in which purpose this product has been designed in the first place, but according to me I would summerize as follow: i) don't use it as a regular DI for a dry signal from the balanced output ii) it can be used as neutral buffer if options kept on neutral iii) it can be used as a cab sim and directly sent to the sound system, providing it has its own power supply...
