I have installed these pups on my Gibson Les Paul Standard to replace the 490 and a 498 that it came with.
I have never been a big fan of these Gibson pickups but they are still good for a lot of guitarists, I guess it depends what you are looking for.
To me they are too aggressive and a bit muddy.
First of all, the lollars look well made, but Lollar could put a bit off effort in the documentation and installation instructions.
They fit perfectly so that was easy!
My first impression was that there is less volume. (That is because of the lower output)
The sound is well balanced and articulate.
They are very sensitive when it comes to volume and tone when in use with pedals and a real joy to use.
It is worth to experiment with the hight of the pups, I was surprised by the impact on the sound!
Once well installed, these pickups are very impressive and I have already forgotten the price!
Maybe not the most suitable for hard rock but great for anything between blues and rock or even jazz.
Absolutely no regrets!

Excellent micros
J'ai acheté ce set pour remplacer les micros d'origine sur une Maybach Lester et je ne suis pas déçu ; ces Lollars donnent un son moins sombre et plus percutant, en son clair, ils sont vraiment très bien Attention en revanche en saturation car ils sont un brin agressifs du moins pour le micro chevalet. Un bon achat !

Hi-fi pickups
Excellent pickups. I find them quite articulate and precise. They might be missing a bit of temper/character to my taste though
