Guitare agréable

Après un changement de cordes, c’est super agréable. Et ça sonne super bien ! Le manche est top, elle convient à un débutant comme à un plus expérimenté !
Merci Thomann pour la rapidité et le soin lors de l’envoi.

J
Amazingly surprised by Squier
Jean-Alexandre 11.04.2024
I'm a hobby guitarist who plays sometimes before small crowds. My first "professional" guitare that I bought was a fender Telecaster made in MX. I had a few problems with this guitare that I managed to solve on my own. The output jack screw was loose and had to be tighten, and the plastic knob on the pickup switch was loose and felt out was I was playing. I had to glue it on! But other than that, the guitare sounds great, so I didn't sent it back.
Then I wanted another electric guitars with a smaller neck to be able to play more easily as I have small hands. Also I wanted a guitare that sounded different than the Tele. This left me two options : a mustang or a jaguar.
Since I've been a kind of guitare snob, I alway wanted a "real" Fender guitare, however made in Mexico (nobody sees that you play on an MX instead of an US when you're on stage). So I found a Fender Mustand made in MX that had very good reviews and that according to videos on YouTube sounded amazing. However, when the guitare arrived, it was simply hell. The guitare felt like a toy, and most importantly there was a lot of fret buzz. Nothing too uncommon right? You just have to tighten the truss rod a bit and that is cleared. Well, I tried to do that, bit by bit, very slowly. And nothing happened. The neck didn't bend at all and it felt like I was rotating into butter. No resistance at all. And after a while, the adjusting nut of the truss rod fall off!!! I've never seen that in my life. So I sent it back to Thomann (thank you for your very good customer services), and then I didn't know. Would I buy the same guitare again, hoping to have a better pick this time, or would I buy a completely different guitare?
I searched "mustang" and "jaguar" on Thomann search engine, and I ended up on that marvelous guitare, that sounded also really great according to Reviews on YouTube. The problem was that it was a Squier. I feared that I would be mocked on stage for playing a Squier instead of a "real" fender. But I read a lot of comments online saying that Squier really improved the quality of their guitares over the years, and that now they make better guitares than the Fenders made in Mx. So I thought "ok, screw it. The brand written on the neck of the guitare doesn't matter. Better have a Squier that sounds amazing than a Fender that is terrible". And oh god I was not disappointed.
This guitare is absolutely TOP NOTCH. No default. Everything is screwed correctly, everything feels solid. And after just a quarter of a turn of the truss rod, I hold in my hands one of the best guitare I've ever played. It is so versatile. The sound is amazing. The built quality is amazing. And the look of it is just "wow".
The conclusion of this comment is this : when I started playing the guitare some 15 years ago, you couldn't get a decent guitare for less than 800-900 euros. Nowadays, you can get this awesome guitare for half the price. And yes it's a Squier, but it sounds amazing, the playability is awesome, and It looks super great. So don't hesitate, and buy this awesome guitare! You'll not be disappointed :)
