Have this on hand for when your existing string breaks right before the concert!
This piece of string lasts a lifetime - enough to replace the existing string 10 times. Each replacement lasts several years. Naturally it tends to break only right before a concert as it did with me. After a lot of trouble quickly finding some suitable alternative on the spot, I'm now always carrying a spare.
