For loud stages and rehearsal rooms
I am singer in a loud rock band. I have to compete with guitar stacks and heavy hitting drummer so unwanted feedback is a common problem. This super cardioid mic has been one of the solutions to avoid that unwanted squeal. First I started with wired version of e845 and as I bought the digital wireless ew-d system, I thought that getting the same capsule is safe way to go.
900-series capsules have more accurate bass, but being tenor singing loud I don't find much difference. Maybe I will buy also 945 some day - when I am so much better singer that I can hear the difference.
Conclusions: solid, as you expect from Sennheiser
