I purchased this drum head to use on a PDP Black wax snare.

Try it as a Tom reso head.
I've been using this Coated Powerstroke 3 as a reso head for my Toms/Floor Toms in the studio and it is wonderful. Controls the sound just enough while not choking the drum.
