Having closed cases to prevent interference from complete strangers makes a lot of sense. I’ve had incidents of malicious individuals removing cables or flicking switches in some racks. Putting a blanking plate on to the rack is one way to overcome this problem, however unscrewing is a pain if you need to make quick changes. This door is very helpful in achieving that, but fitting my hand through this particular door is tough, and difficult to remove my hand again. If space allows get something bigger, but I’ll have to settle for this in the meantime.

I was even able to do a little cut on it, being the steel really robust but thin, so I could do exactly what I want for my rack-mount synth system. Cheap also.

Total thickness of the metal seems sturdy. Buuut the cutout is in reality only 4.3cm in height for 22.4cm. This is a bit annoying since i wanted to be able to fit some things threw.
