Big sound
I ordered the Yamaha Stage Custom 14"x11" Tom in order to complete a big rock kit (with 24'' bass drum & 18'' floor tom). Right out of the box the finish looks amazing and sounds even better. It responses really well to low tunings and gives that big sound that I wanted ,even with the stock heads.

Love this kit
I love the stage Custom Birch. Just tune it right, remember the reso-heads! And this kit will compete with a many people's dream-kits. Look it up, Tama Starclassic Bubinga, one of the most popular and sought-after drumkits on earth. The shells on the Yamaha Stage Custom Birch 7-ply really gets indistinguishable from the 9-ply, veery expensive Bubinga wood, just with the right tuning and maybe a few tweaks on an EQ. Boom.
