Outstanding!

I'm heavily impressed with this bass. The build quality is excellent and the tone is amazing. This is the best bass I've owned and I have played many high-end Fenders ,Ibanez etc. over the years.
I think this bass is great value for money and I just want to keep playing it. It is comfortable too. The stock pickups are nice and as a player who moved to active basses a long time ago,
I find myself playing in passive mode most of the time as there is so much tone on offer. I struggle to find fault with this instrument.
The all -black neck color is interesting but I wonder how durable this finish will be over time but this is a minor concern. This is a great bass and I know I could dial in a sound for any style of music. It has become my main bass now for gigging and recording.

Sound's so nice! The build quality is excellent and look's stunning! The tone is amazing. You can get some really nice mid range sounds out of this bass too. The bottom is fat!

T
An amazing and versatile bass with beautiful aesthetics and a rich sound.

I have been playing this bass, both in the studio and in live gigs, for the past year and a half. It offers an amazing sound, be it just the P pickup or both, that you can sculpt even more with its truly great onboard preamp. I cannot stress enough how good the preamp is. It's perfectly tuned for this instrument. You can really adapt your P or PJ sound depending on the situation. I tend to accentuate the mids (which I feel to be in the range between 400 and 600 Hz) and the highs and I get a great growly tone that sincerely "cuts through the mix" (I rolled my eyes a little bit writing that). In terms of weight, mine comes in at 4,4kg. A little bit heavier than I would have liked it to be, but it makes up for it with a perfect balance, no neck dive whatsoever. Also, the gig bag provided is awesome, the best one I've ever had. It adds significantly to the value of the proposition. In terms of some of the not-so-perfect things that pertain to the construction of the instrument, I have observed that the neck pocket is not perfectly tight. You can easily push an A4 sheet of paper on either sides of the neck pocket. That said, I've grown to believe that it really does not have a profound effect on the sound that you get, after similar experiences with other basses that I've owned, plus, I'm truly satisfied with the sonic result, every time. The other not so great thing is that the bass is not perfectly grounded. There is a tiny bit of hum, which is not 50 cycle hum/totally unrelated to the J single coil hum, that goes away when you touch the strings. It's effect is so minor that I haven't bothered looking into it any further. But I'm definitely taking care of it in the future. I suspect that the bridge ground wire is not touching perfectly. All in all, this is a great workhorse bass for all sorts of gigs and playing styles and I wholeheartedly recommend it!
