Great Balance but weak nature
Let me start by saying I ADORE this Model Stick. Maple is a wood that feels great, sounds great, specially on cymbals and is light weighted, BUT, if you don't manage your intensity they go rather fast, basically they break. This stick is NOT for heavy hitters, I would suggest Hickory for that. This model is more of a groove and technique oriented design in my opinion. But just give them a try.

Better than VicFirth, they almost last double as long!

Sits perfect between 5A and 5B
Been looking for a stick that has the diameter of a 5B but is light as a 5A and this Vater stick is absolutely perfect! Couldnt believe how good it felt having a diameter over 15mm and a weight under 50 grams. So if youre not the hardest hitter and looking for a stick that is fast but grippy, this one is for you!

Just Ok
Light maple as you would expect, however the durability was not the best. Probably would be fine for a light player. I would not hit very hard but i didnt get the longevity I would from a hickory stick.

Slightly heavier than other maple 5B's
Great stick, just beware that it's heavier than other brands' maple sticks. The sharp butt end also means that it feel ever-so-slightly longer than a Vic Firth 5B, for example.
