I am aware I'm becoming more and more a UFIP fanboy, but it's their fault!
As with every UFIP cymbal I've played, this cymbal is very responsive and opens up immediately even at low dynamics.
The sound is super trashy but full bodied, without the "airy" quality of cymbals with holes, almost china-like. In fact I use it to pull double-duty as crash-china. It's a 16" so it's fairly high pitched and with a medium-short decay. I also have the 18" version of this cymbal and the review there is going to be the same, except the sound which is lower pitched and with longer sustain.
