A comfortable and sturdy piano stool

Very happy with the quality of this. The seat is quite comfy in comparison to other piano stools I have used. The up and down mechanism is easy to use and the stool is very easy to assemble overall.

I haven't had any issues with it creaking (it feels very sturdy), but generally this is easy to resolve by just retightening the screws, as they may come loose over time.

There are also foam protectors on the bottom of the legs to prevent scratches on hard floors - which isn't apparent from the images or product description.

Surprisingly good and easy to maintain

Product arrived and was well packaged. All the woden parts were wrapped in some way to stop them getting messed up during transport.

Assembly was easy and I had it assembled in a couple of minutes.

Once assembled the stool feels solid and secure. The hight adjustment gives fine control and doesn't change over time unexpectedly.

I feel secure and well grounded while sitting on the stool and I can spend long sessions at the piano without feeling fatigued.

I think it looks very well, it isn't overly stylised, I imagine it would blend into most spaces without making too much of a statement.

A note to my fellow hobbyist, If you're using a kitchen or office chair I would recommend you do yourself a favour and consider this stool. A dedicated stool for your piano or keyboard will help you learn more quickly as your hight and subsequently the angle of your arms shoulders will be consistent each time you sit down to play helping to form muscle memory.

A note for Parents: the top part which has the cushion and fabric is secured firmly with friction but for an adult it's easy to remove. So when the kids eventually decide the piano stool is a great place to eat toast you'll be able to clean it relatively easily. You could very easily staple or glue on a new piece of fabric.

Stable but terrible build quality

I got my unit with several defects. The seat itself was a few millimetres too short and moves inside the frame. Hilarious. The legs and the frame came with scratches, probably due to careless packaging (two legs together without plastic wrap, come on!).

The seat seems stable, but the above is unacceptable. 2 stars, and you can be glad. For 75 GBP I expect way more.

Satisfying multifunctional livingroom item

After soon two years of use, this piano bench still stands strong. From being used occasionally for its intended purpose, and more frequently as foot stool, kids' fort gate, and living room ninja warrior step, it's only got a few scuffs. The nuts holding the legs in place loosen from time to time, but the least I can do I for this little bench is care for it when it serves the family so well.

Nice and sturdy. A couple little nicks on arrival, it looks like the finish may not last long or take much of a beating. Great up/down mechanism, solid.
