These products need a puncture-resistant layer/shell on the top side to prevent bursting.

1 misplaced hit from my drumstick sent steel balls scattering everywhere during a gig.

Great drum dampener idea

I used other brands of drum dampeners before this appeared on the market. Here's my Pros & Cons list.

Pros - no sticky substance, does not leave marks, selection of sizes, impact on the sound, suitable for non-standard 1.6 or 2.3 hoops (e.g. Snareweight is too snug to fit on Sonor Superprofile hoop)

I’ve seen people really rating these but I don’t feel they sit on the drums well. Sometimes even vibrating after you hit the drum. So they either do nothing or or cause unwanted noise
