My main MP at the moment for the darker sound
I use it almost every day as a main MP now. The sound is noticably darker than with my other MP. If I want it to be even darker, almost like tenor sax tone, I combine it with Harry Hartmann Fiberreed Onyx Alto Sax MS, wjich itself makes the tone much darker.
The MP is very free blowing even with only 5 tip opening and can produce really strong sound with good projection.
For this price it is a very good option for a distinctive tone when you want to have in you set something sounding differently.

Good mouthpiece, not the best fit for me
I found this Otto Link so far not very free blowing, quite the opposite. It's very restrictive. I guess if you want a really dark tone and use lot of subtones then this might be for you. At my current level (beginner-mid) it doesn't feel like the right one for me. Also, I don't know if it's common but the rubber smell/taste when I first opened it was incredibly strong. Way more than usual.

Just Right For Me a former Pro now 66 !
I have played Saxophone since age 14 and gigged all over the world .
Am now a senior gent playing 1 hour a day .
This Otto Link 5* Tone Edge mouthpiece is just the right resistance with a soft 2.5 hemke reed ....I dont want to work any harder than this . Also I dont squeak ...something none of us want . Plenty of edge to cut through an ensemble , great for jazz.
