A Good Treble Recorder

The Denner Edition definitely performs better than the standard-issue Mollenhauer Denner instruments.

The response and pitch are very good. The tone can be a little thin and the volume is likewise a bit weak. I hope a re-voicing will improve this, as the recorder is otherwise very fine.

Overall: a high-quality instrument!

Wonderful instrument

This is a hand finished version of the Mollenhauer Denner series. Having both I can say that while the standard Denner is good, this recorder is in a different league. The tone, agility, ease of reaching top notes and reliability over the whole range are excellent. The satinwood is light in the hand and looks great. It’s a big investment but justified by the quality .

All my other recorders pale into insignificance compared to this one

I own some expensive high-spec recorders, some handmade, but nothing beats this amazing Satinwood recorder for clarity, ease of playing, reliability (especially on high notes), non-clogging and lightweight feel. I always find myself going back to this one as the ultimate in dependability, especially for concerts. I am even tempted to buy another one and sell some of the others.
