Great little gadget.
Test all your speakers/ horns "full range" and even amps/desks/cables/etc, this little thing even helps setting up sound at gigs.
Mine had problems when it arrived, didn't work at all, the screws holding the belt clip were too long, pushing against the circuit board inside, earthing the signal, I just guessed this and removed the screws, hey presto!
I found a faulty horn in one of my PA speakers simply by plugging in and listening, BUT DO BE CAREFUL WITH YOUR EARS, one watt is enough to blow your ears as you listen closely or even not so closely, please be careful.
There's far more expensive ones but why pay more.

Not as advertised.
I purchased my unit to test speakers and to ring out rooms with adjustable sinesweeps. When I got my unit, it did not generate sine sweeps from 20hz to 20khz. it went from 400hz down to 200hz and up to 20khz according to my spectrum analyzer. Inside the unit, there is a blue trimpot to adjust the oscillator range. This was off kilter. And after adjusting with my spectrum analyzer, the unit works better, but is only accurate between 32hz and 500hz. The unit does not produce a clean sine wave, since there are always 4-6 harmonic overtones 1 octave apart each other above the fundamental frequency. The sinewave looks sine-ish on a oscilloscope, but contains alot of harmonics. The amplifier on the speakon output puts out about 2,6vAC (0,4w@16ohms, 0,8w@8ohms, 1,7w@4ohms and 3,4w@2ohms), a bit under the 2,83vAC or 1 watt @ 8 ohms as advertised.
If you need accuracy, buy something else.
But for discovering room modes and low frequency resonances in a venue, and once calibrated, it's an affordable and somewhat useful tool.
If you only need something to make noise, it will make noise. Useful for troubleshooting bad speakerdrivers.

Great tool!
If you want a Soundbullet but can't afford the price, this is your option. Even better because you have Speakon out. Very good for instalations you can test the speakers, active or passive, so no need for a amp when labeling cables!

Very Handy Tool For The Sound Kit
I bought this to add to my tools in my sound kit, I was hesitant to purchase because of the price but I decided to bite the bullet and I am glad I did it's been incredibly helpful when troubleshooting a sound system or repairing speakers if you aren't near a desk.
Very happy would recommend.

Handy, particularly for speaker testing
As the output level and frequency are uncalibrated this is not for precision testing. It is however a handy tone source for continuity testing, and the loudspeaker output is useful for confidence testing of driver and crossover testing in multi way systems.

Great tester
This is one of the most used items in my test gear bag. It has been so handy and at a great price. Anyone working with sound systems should carry one.
