Disappointing, sent it back
As a fan of simple EQs i bought the Maag with the intention of using it as the last EQ on my mix Bus, just before a RND Master Bus Converter.
In use i found the EQ disappointing, to start with, the knobs where not aligned properly when zeroed, two of them where one click out meaning settings had to be visually off to be matched, not good enough at this price.
From a purely audio point of view, i found that often the chosen frequencies where not as useful as i had thought and i ended up mostly using the air band and sub band.
I did find the amount of volume it added problematic, as i often ended up unable to volume compensate accurately, meaning the EQd signal was often just a bit louder or quieter when bypassed making it hard to judge things.
I ended up often in the situation where i wasn't sure if i preferred the EQ on or bypassed...
All in all i didn't feel like this EQ did much for me, i sent it back the same day i received it. Replaced it with a Dangerous Music Bax EQ that i instantly enjoyed much more and still enjoy today.
