Excellent product, has greatly improved my guitar
I bought these to replace the stock P90s in my Gibson Les Paul Tribute. I was after more clarity and note definition, particularly when playing dense chords and the lower output of this pickup seemed a good choice. I play jazz, funk and blues so am looking for best performance at lower gain settings.
I replaced the wiring harness at the same time, as the guitar had a printed circuit board. The result has been very positive, better clarity and a sound with a lot of character. The clarity is maintained when turning down the volume, however I think this is because the new wiring harness uses 50s wiring.
Right now I am considering purchasing another pair for a different guitar.

Decent enough
I bought these to replace my original gibson p90s in my les paul, which for me the neck pickup was too big and boomy compared to the bridge. In the end the lolar power output was not hugely different to the gibsons (alnico 5), and the neck pickup was no improvement in clarity. I ended up selling them and putting back in the gibsons.
They are a decent set of pickups but i wouldn't say worth switching from gibsons if you already have them installed.
