I Wanted to like it....
Great attempt and good on Epiphone for trying to evolve. Here are the reasons i will not keep it, however...
The freatboard i think is painted because after playing, my fingers looked chalky. That's a shame. I don't understand these shortcuts and deceivement. Is an ebony board really that expensive to get in its natural dark color? FAme does a hell of a job so i don't understand the shortcut.
The tuning is trash on the D, G and B strings. The Gibson/Epi headstock string aligment legendary problem. If you dont have a sensetive ear i guess you would be ok. It drove me crazy. I guess don't do bends?
Finally the weight. My specific one weighed 3.75 kg. Thsat's insane for a V. I decided to send it back. I might try again because for the money you do get a lot of postives as well like the ss frets, the tuners are amazing, fit and finish was actually pretty ok. I could forgive the rest if it weighed a lot less.

Absolute Metal Machine
I am obsessed with this guitar! I was very excited about the futura range when they came out and eventually chose the flying V QS. I love everything about this guitar, the feel is awesome, the sound is amazing (playing thru a Mesa DR Rev G with a 4 x 12 mesa cab right now and its sounds totally epic), with the mahogony body and neck and an ebony fretboard with stainless steel frets, it almost seems too good to be true, but it is..
The frets are finished beautifully, the set up was done at pro level and the intonation is 100% spot on. The pro bucker ignite HBs are just gorgeous, they give a very thick and sweet sound and they are flawless for lead and rhythm tones with massive snarl and creamy leads also at the neck pickup. The coil split features sound great and the phase switch for the Greeny sound is amazing (there are unlimited tone options with this guitar). The binding is truly lush and the fretboard inlays (not to mention the beautiful headstock with grover locking tuners) make this guitar look like, feel and play a true custom, PLUS the paintwork is unreal. Do NOT HESITATE IF YOU ARE THINKING OF GETTING ONE!
You will not regret it :)
