Simply Phenomenal!

I’ve been playing guitar professionally for over 30 years, and I’ll start by saying this: the DUMBLIFIER is not for everyone.

This is the kind of sound that demands something from the player. You need to understand dynamics, touch, and how to actually pull the tone out of the instrument. It doesn’t simply hand you a polished sound, it responds to what you put into it.

What impressed me the most is something that’s genuinely difficult to explain until you experience it: the way it compresses so much, yet somehow preserves and even enhances the dynamics of your playing. Those two things should almost contradict each other, but here they coexist beautifully. Notes feel controlled and expressive, with that singing quality and sustain, while the response to your hands remains incredibly alive.

And I suppose that’s exactly the point. It behaves like the amplifier design it is inspired by. There’s a certain interaction between the player, the guitar and the circuit that you have to learn. The tone is there, but you have to know how to bring it out.

It rewards experience, touch and intention.

Simply phenomenal.

This thing it’s precisely what I thought.

I work making performance almost every day, I usually do 20-28 shows a month. I’ve been playing electric guitar for 15 years always with cheap stuff, I had a zoom g1xfour, boss gt1, line 6 hd500, and the past 2 years a nux mg30. I’m tired of the digital world, trying to find the good IR, the good modeler and now the good A2 capture. The dumblifier has a solid sound, it’s exactly like in the videos from the small YouTube channels (I don’t trust the big one, to much money and everything it’s sponsored) the clean sound it’s great, the dynamic response it’s mind blowing also the reverb as simple as it looks it’s better than anything on my previous devices. Counting with clean, clean with preamp boost, drive channel and drive channel with booster you have 4 greats sounds in just one box, and that’s without any external pedal. It’s important for you to know this can go from sound for jazz super clean, to hard rock, but if you’re trying to play metal or something with a lot of distortion this might not be the good one. If you are like me looking for a solid sound for covers band to play pop, rock, funk, jazz, reggae…-anything you should really check it out and forget about all the menus and stuffs on the digital world.
