The guitar sounds phenomenal, both acoustic, and most important for me, plugged-in. A real player, my new workhorse. Deducting one point on quality, but that's towards quality control. Nut was a bit high, but I always take my guitars to a pro øuthier for my preferred setup anyway. That's also why I didn't return it for another one because of a couple of high frets (12th and 20th). The lithier sorted it out quickly while doing the setup. I'd like to think it was just a fluke on quality control's side. Really recommend this guitar to any working musician, it feels excellent to play, and looks gorgeous!

The guitar arrived very well set up, with low action and excellent fretwork. The frets are wider and taller than typical vintage-style frets, which makes playing very comfortable. The guitar required no major setup work straight out of the box.

The nut width is specified as 45 mm, but I measured approximately 44.5 mm. I actually found this width very comfortable — noticeably more comfortable for me than a 43 mm neck. The 648 mm scale length is also consistent with Cort's current acoustic guitar construction.

The fretboard was quite dry when the guitar arrived and definitely benefited from some conditioning/oil.

One unusual thing was the smell. The guitar had a noticeable glue-like smell when it arrived, rather than the pleasant natural wood smell I have experienced with some other acoustic guitars. Even a less expensive Harley Benton Custom Line CLA-16SCE I have played had a more pleasant wood-like smell. Of course, this is subjective.

The Cort has very good specifications and is a well-made instrument. However, specifications do not tell the whole story. Despite its excellent playability and impressive features, I personally found the Taylor 114ce more enjoyable and inspiring to play. The Taylor simply felt better to me.
