Waste of Money
donaldtrump 08.08.2023
I should have read the reviews before buying this piece of crap. Firstly, it's useless at removing dust like it's supposed to do which is the only point of buying one. It just pushes the dust about, leaving lines on the surface where the bristles passed through. Secondly it's too wide to properly get between knobs and controls without disturbing them. And thirdly, worst of all, like others have noted the 'super soft' bristles are nothing of the sort and in fact are stiff enough that I'm worried they will scratch my gear. The ends are cut flat, not tapered and feel scratchy even just running them over your skin. They are basic plastic bristles of the sort you'd expect to find on the cheapest paint brush. In fact, a moderately priced paint brush would do a much better job than this pointless waste of money.

A
OK brush - but could be better
Anonymous 27.10.2022
Bought this one to keep my synths dust free. However, in my opinion the bristles are a bit too stiff. They are stiff enough to move pots and encoders when you run the brush over them. I am also slightly worried that the bristles could leave tiny scratches on plastic screens.
The bristles are long and with a nice wooden grip. It would be perfect if the bristles were softer.
I prefer using an ostrich feather duster.

Handy tool
KillerBass 16.02.2022
If you have a lot of equipment with knobs and buttons, cleaning the dust between them with regular cloth is a major headache. This tool makes cleaning a breeze, my modular synth is thankful. Also handy for cleaning piano and synth keys.

Best thing ever

This is must buy, works very well, the red hair does not come off and i found out it is only way to keep your equipment clean from dust.
I have tried many options, some not working well (like air cleaners), some can damage your gear (like vacuum cleaners). These long hair keeps damage away and takes all dust from every corner and crack.

Good if delivered in an undamaged package.
Alisher Moldabekov 06.04.2023
I bought this product to clean dust from my computer keyboard and Roland TD-27 module. Overall, this brush is very high quality and does its job well.
But this brush came to me in a damaged package and the brush hairs were damaged but not critical for me.
On the base of the brush, I put on an ordinary rubber band from money and specially bought a Thomann Sound Devices MixPre-3 II Bag for this brush - only the brush fit there, not counting the outer pockets.
In general, this is a high-quality brush that can remove dust from any hard-to-reach surfaces, including a computer keyboard, piano keyboard, or electronic drum modules. I even wipe computer mouse pads with it, and everything is fine.

Soft and narrow, goes through the faders and knobs like a ballerina. Good grip. Leaves a hair here and there.

SP
Simple but very effective tool for cleaning synth setups
Salvatore Pizzuto 11.06.2026
I’ve been using the Befaco Duster mainly to clean dust from my synths and studio gear.

It has made the whole process much easier compared to using basic cloths or improvised tools. It reaches small and tight areas where dust usually builds up, especially around knobs, sliders, and between modules.

The build feels solid enough for regular use, and it does exactly what it’s meant to do without any complications. It’s a simple tool, but very useful if you have a synth-heavy setup and want to keep everything clean without risking damage.

Overall, I’d recommend it to anyone working with hardware synths or modular gear. It’s a small accessory, but it really helps maintain the setup in a practical way.
