I feared it would be too muffled as I watched you tube. But this muffin sounds the shape of my snare drastically as I hoped and at the same time keeps it clear enough and delivers enough rebound. Wow ! It is a lot better then my towels (very muffled and not much rebound). I haven't tested it in a band or recordings yet. I wished I ordered the whole set in once. I would play more on my real drum then on my e drum when I have this. It takes away these enervating overtones in my cellar practice space and the drum sounds like an electric drum, vintage path, but better.

Ehrlich gesagt konnte ich mir nicht wirklich vorstellen, dass das Ding so viel besser sein soll, als mein bewährtes Handtuch auf der Snare.

Es ist tatsächlich ein besseres Spielgefühl, da man mehr Rebound fühlt. Das Tuch scheint also dünner zu sein, als mein Handtuch, aber es hält wesentlich mehr aus! Meine Tücher sind meist nach kurzer Zeit löcherig und fransig, aber Mr. Muff hält und hält und hält...

Eine Sache finde ich schade: Der Filzranz ist zwar vom Durchmesser her perfekt, aber ein ein kleines bisschen zu dick, um mit Mr. Muff einen ordentlichen Rim-Click spielen zu können, welcher gedämpft natürlich auch nochmal krasser kommt, als sonst.
Ich würde ungerne ein Stück herausschneiden, aber das könnte tatsächlich die Lösung sein!

Ich würde es feiern, wenn es diese Dinger auf für Toms gäbe! Die Pinsel überzeugen mich noch nicht so.

Den Preis finde ich etwas zu hoch, aber das scheint am frischen Patent zu liegen. Jedenfalls absolut klare Kaufempfehlung für jeden Drummer, der abwechselnd mit und ohne Sustain spieln möchte!

Can you achieve a similar effect with a towel over your drum?
Absolutely.
What this mainly does is look better. It also gives me access to my throw-off and tension rods, which my old tea-towel did not. Quality is good. The felt ring adds a little more "muffling" compared to a towel in my opinion.

Perfekt für Dämpfung und Reduzierung der Lautstärke

Sehr gute Dämpfungseigenschaften: Sie reduzieren die Obertöne und mindern die Lautstärke. Ich nutze die Muffins auch live für Gigs in kleineren Räumen.
Die Verarbeitung ist wertig.
Die Dinger haben meine volle Empfehlung, besonders für die Snare.
