Perfect for turning a floor tom into a small bass drum.

This mount has allowed me to turn my floor tom into a small bass drum when combined with the Pearl JG-16 Jungle Set Adapter.

Great gear i have had it a while now no issues or damage and i gig with this regularly in wedding bands and function bands, it is a lot cheaper than buying a 16" bass drum and you can keep using the floor tom as a floor tom or switch it up as needed. I don't think there are any cons with this item certainly none that i have noticed. I highly recommend this item.

Stable, secure Tom mount

I like it! This is a good Tom Mount option, I have a 16" Floor tom suspended like there's no tomorrow. Couldn't be happier!

Je me suis équipé de ce système pour faire la ré-hausse d'un tom de 16', afin de l'utiliser comme grosse caisse avec ma V-Drum. Il existe d'autres système mais je recommande celui là pour sa stabilité. En effet, vous n'aimeriez pas que votre grosse caisse se ballade pendant que vous jouez ....et bien Pearl conçoit cet accessoire très ROBUSTE, d'excellente fabrication........

Ich habe mir den Optimount Halter, wohl entgegen der meisten hier, bestellt, um damit eine 16er BD auszustatten.

Mittels des Pearl Jungleadapters und ISS habe ich ein 16er Tom zu einer kleinen Bassdrum umgebaut und hatte nun das Verlangen ein 10er Tom auf diese montieren zu können. Hierfür habe ich den Optimounthalter auf der Oberseite der Minibassdrum angebracht, der nun die Funktion einer Bassdrumrosette ausübt. Bis 12" Toms ist das kein Problem, kann ich jeden für kleine Gigs sehr ans Herz legen. Ansonsten ist das Optimount System ein von mir eher wenig geliebtes.

Ich preferiere RIMs, da ich der Meinung bin, dass die Toms darin freier schwingen können, da sie regelrecht in das System reingelegt werden, während das Optimount 4 relativ starre Aufsatzpunkte hat, wo die Toms eher "hineingespannt" werden.

Insgesamt scheiden sich an diesen Aufnahmesystemen die Geister, besser als ISS oder gebohrte Toms ist es allemahl.
