Perfect for early Pearl Free Floating snares

I got this to replace the snare wires on my first generation Pearl free floating 14" snare as it requires longer snarewires which extend beyond the beds of the shell. Great quality, great sounding and great value. Most importantly very sensitive which is the whole point in using extended snarewires in the first place.

This fits perfectly on TAMA mastercraft snares. I have had a hard time finding those extended wires for all my vintage mastercraft series snare drums. However these are a perfect fit and they sound as they should. A super sensitive wire but with a short fuzz.

Ich wollte meine 2 14x8 Free-Floaters baulich etwas näher ans Original bringen, aber leider stimmt irgendetwas nicht. An allen Teppichen fallen nach wenigen Wochen die ersten Drähte ab. Letztes Jahr im Sommer bei beiden Snares und nach dem Wechsel der Teppiche nun im Februar 2020 wieder. Wo der Fehler liegt ist noch nicht abschließend geklärt. Evtl. tatsächlich bei mir bzw. bei der Installation.

Nach 20 Jahren Schlagzeugspielen ist mir sowas noch nie passiert. Zu fest gespannt sind sie nicht, da ich klanglich eher auf "Taffff" stehe, statt "T". Ich versuche mal sie an Thomann zurückzugeben und evtl. gelangen sie irgendwie zum Prüfen zu Pearl zurück. Aber bei dem Produktpreis unklar, ob der Aufwand lohnt.

Klanglich sind sie ok. Bisschen zu scharf für kräftigen EQ-Einsatz, aber auf keinen Fall schlecht.
