Meinl’s great all-rounder Ride cymbal

The Meinl 20” Byzance Extra Dry Medium Ride is the latest addition to my Meinl cymbal collection. The cymbal looks great, it has a nice stick articulation, nice ping sound without being too pronounced and a great bell sound which is particular nice when the music is heavier or you want a strong sound from the bell for any Latin type of music. The dark earthy tones nicely accompany any sort of music without getting in the way, this is also helped by its short sustain. It’s a very versatile cymbal and to my mind can easily be used for Rock, Pop, Funk and Jazz music. The ride can be crashed too but this is more applicable for Rock music rather than Jazz. Having said that if you only had the choice to pick one Ride cymbal for various musical genres this would probably most people’s choice. Simply a great all-rounder, a very musical Ride cymbal.

Das Wohl beste Ride das ich hatte

Das Meinl MEINL 20" BYZANCE EXTRA DRY M. RIDE ist das wohl beste Ride Becken ddas ich bisher hatte ich finde es ist so vielseitig ich benutze es für jazz,blues,rock,metal, benutze es ab und zu auch als crash was auch sehr cool klingt in allem ist das ein super becken

Je cherchais une seconde ride pour compléter mon set, la première est une Byzance Big Apple en 22, elle prends pas mal de place car elle résonne beaucoup, et est plutôt typée jazz.

Cette Byzance extra-dry correspond tout à fait à ce que je cherchais : Un ping très clair et défini, des notes graves et un sustain court. Elle est parfaite pour les patterns rapides où l'on a besoin d'entendre l'articulation, le détaché des coups. Pas vraiment crashable car assez épaisse, si elle est bien placée dans un set de cymbales cohérent, elle fait des merveilles. Je recommande !
