Last longer, but feel unusual

Each to their own when it comes to sticks and rods etc. but having bought these a few times, I'm not sure I would again. The big plus is they last far longer than usual rods due to the plastic casing, and can be used for heavy playing too without falling apart. Precise at the beginning.
But after a gig or two, I find they feel unnatural compared to normal wooden rod dowels, and soon enough the weight can become very uneven resulting in a heavier handle feeling when playing.
I also find that the tightening strips tend to move too freely by themselves up and down the stick especially if sweat is added in. Tape always seems to be needed to keep things in place. When the dowels and plastic are let out to create a brush-like fan, personally I find it just makes things even messier in terms of sound and control.
Nice idea for a longer lasting acoustic style stick, but needs more development.

Plastic is a no no!

I've been using Vater sticks for ages and are truly commited to them, but these rods are not to my liking. they have a 10 rod core and 4 "flaps" of plastic surrounding them. Who thought this was a good idea? The feel is of, and you get the slapping soundt of plastic with every stroke....
Go for VicFirth or anything else

Ich muss gestehen, es ist schon etwas länger her als ich mir die VATER ACOUSTIC STICKS zugelegt habe. Am Anfang war ich sehr zufrieden. Aus dem Stock kam ein guter Sound, mehr wollte ich nicht.

Aber mit der Zeit hat sich so ziemlich alles verändert: Die Gummis die die spröde und hart gewordenen Plastik streifen zusammen hielten wurden genauso spröde und rissen entweder ab, oder haben sich so weit ausgedehnt, dass sie sich einfach mal beim spielen verabschieden.
Des weiteren gibt dieser Stick auch keinen Rebount aus, was ihn sehr schwer zu spielen macht. Aus dem Anfangs so schönen Sound entwickelte sich schnell ein Tonloses "Pong" auf den Trommeln. Und die hart gewordenen Plastik Streifen tun denn Fellen auch nicht wirklich gut :(

Habe mich von den VATER ACOUSTICS getrennt. Werde mir wohl wieder die Bewährten Hot-Rods kaufen.

son los primeros rods que adquiero, y la verdad estoy satisfecho con ellos, a llevar la varillas de naylon en el exterior aumenta la durabilidad de estas, cosa importante ya que no son baratas, el sonido es el esperado. y su rebote es bueno también.
