Der Tonabnehmer mit zwei Kapseln liefert einen sehr ausgewogenen kontrabassigen Klang. Piezo-Abnehmer können da nicht mithalten.

Der Einbau hat Geduld gebraucht, war aber mit etwas handwerklichem Geschick leicht zu bewältigen. Die Anpassung der Korkelemente an die Rundung im Stegloch habe ich mit feinem Sandpapier hinbekommen.

Im Proberaum der Bigband konnte ich keinerlei Rückkopplung feststellen, lediglich in der Übezelle (!) konnte ich eine Rückkopplung provozieren. Für Live-Auftritte ist der Schertler STAT-B Vintage nach meiner Erfahrung die erste Wahl. Bei Studio-Aufnahmen würde ich ein Mikrofon bevorzugen.
