As good as the big name brands (if not better)

I bought these to try out as an affordable option compared to the big name stick brands and have to say I’m pleasantly surprised.
I’ve tried a number of sticks from Rohema (laquer and non-lacquer) and for me (I play a lot) the huge plus is that they seem to last a much longer time than the other makes (Pro Mark, Zildjian, Vic Firth)

Great Sticks

This stick is my personal favourite. It is the stick with the ideal balance - not at the front like Vater, nor at the back like Vic Firth. The length and the thickness are just ideal for my hands. I also find Hickory to be the best wood for the sticks, after having tried the whole Rohema range, and a few others. The vibrations are simply not felt in the knuckles and I can play free.
The natural version tends to stick to the hands a bit better than the lacquered one.
I just wish they make the plastic tip option.

Gute Alternative zu den Amerikanischen Produkten

Die letzten Jahre habe ich immer die 5B Sticks von Vater gespielt. Eher durch Zufall bin ich darauf gekommen die 5B von Rohema einmal zu testen!
Und siehe da, gar mal nicht so schlecht die Dinger!

Zur Verarbeitung: Das Gewicht des Paares ist ausgeglichen! Die Lackierung fühlt sich gut an! Die Sticks sind , obwohl es sich auch um Hickory handelt) am Schaft und an der Schulter etwas weicher und somit auch leichter als die bisher von mir verwendeten der amerikanischen Konkurrenz.

Zum Sound ist zu sagen, dass der Kopf immer noch hart genug sind um auf dem Ride damit einen " harten Ping-Sound" (bei Ahorn Sticks finde ich diesen "sehr weich" im Sound) zu erzeugen. Auch die Hihat, und Crashbecken klingen schon direkt beim Anschlag.

Zur Haltbarkeit kann ich noch nicht so viel erzählen. Seit 2 Wochen teste ich die Sticks nun regelmäßig. Bisher halten sie gut, Vertiefungen auf der Oberfläche (z.B: durch Rimmshots) sind auf Grund des etwas weicheren Materials (oder der dünneren Lackierung?) schnell zu erkennen, gebrochen ist aber noch nichts!

Mein Fazit: Wer auf die eine "dickere" Ausführung von Drumsticks steht, aber dabei Gewicht sparen will ist meines Erachtens hier genau richtig! Ich werde definitiv mir noch ein paar zulegen, da dies der erste Drumstick ist, der für mich vom Feeling her das Potenzial hätte Vater aus meinem Stickbag zu verdrängen!

Sticks made in Germany, zum günstigen Preis mit sehr guter Qualität! Müssen sich definitiv nicht hinter der Konkurrenz aus Amerika verstecken! Die Sticks sind top verarbeitet, sehr griffig und enorm haltbar. Ich hab meine perfekte Marke gefunden :-)
