If you are looking for a vintage sound with a modern twist this is the skin to get. Its got the beautiful, strong vintage attack with a modern low end. Give them a go, they are worth a go.

Spiele die Emperors seit vielen Jahren und wechsel hin uns wieder durch. Mal Coated, mal Clear, jetzt aktuell seit einem guten Jahr zum ersten Mal die Vintage. Habe sie in recht tiefer Stimmung auf allen Toms (10", 12", 13", 16"), in Kombination mit Ambassador clear als Resonanzfell. Vom Sound her sind sie den normalen Emperors ähnlich, soll heißen: ich erkenne meine Toms immer noch als meine Toms. Sie klingen erst Mal so wie ich es von Emperors gewohnt bin und wie ich den Sound erwartet habe. Allerdings habe ich festgestellt, dass ich mir beim Stimmen leichter tue. Wo ich bei den normalen Emperors manchmal unerwünschte Obertöne hatte und dann halt doch mal zu ein bisschen Moongel gegriffen hab, komme ich bei den Vintage bisher komplett ohne Dämpfung aus. Denke das ist aber Geschmackssache.
Verarbeitung und Haltbarkeit soweit ich das nach ca. einem Jahr beurteilen kann wie immer Top.

Cela fait un moment que je jouais les EMPEROR clear, mais j'avais un problème de longévité depuis un changement de baguette. Comme ces vintage emperor sont plus épaisse, j'ai voulu les essayer...non seulement j'ai désormais des peaux qui durent longtemps, mais en plus, je préfère de loin leur son à celui des EMPEROR tout court. Légèrement plus "focused", il est aussi un peu plus gras, mais le tranchant et le sustain tout comme la sensibilité ne sont pas sacrifiés ! Du coup, je reprendrais désormais toujours ce modèle !

Spiele seit vielen Jahren Emperor Clear Felle und probiere von Zeit zu Zeit auch andere Felltypen, je nach Genre, aus. Mit den Vintage Clear Fellen hat Remo eine Lücke im Sortiment geschlossen, die für meine Zwecke ideal ist. Kontrollierter, fetter Sound mit schönen Sustain. Eine runde Sache. Empfehlung!
