String set for electric guitarThe special feature of these strings is the round core wire of the wound strings. Normal strings have hexagonal (hexagonal) core wires, which simplifies production and the manufacturing costs.

Round core wires on the other hand must be wound with the utmost care in order to secure a uniform contact pressure to the nickel wire.

The Pyramid Nickel Classic strings therefore have a significantly improved vibration behaviour, which provides a very long decay of the string (sustain) and a uniform sound development.

Important: The wound strings cannot be simply cut because the nickel round wound would unravel immediately. First twist the string sharply and then cut the string behind the bend.

Pyramid Nickel Classics Medium 011-050. 011 è il minimo..

011 è la scalatura minima che prendo in considerazione per le mie chitarre. e devo dire che lo 050 l'ho avuto proprio sul gozzo prima di provare questa muta e quella delle flatwound gold. mi sbagliavo di grosso! suono eccellente, definito, caldo ma non troppo e all'occorrenza anche pesante e presente. allora ne ho prese cinque mute, per stare tranquillo.

great warm sound

Great sound. Really nice to have a winded G. A must have for those who love a guitar with some nice and warm low tones.

Amazing strings with beautiful sound

First thing you notice when first using these pure nickel round core strings is their lower tension. I always go one gauge up when buying these strings for a guitar. 011's of these will feel similar yet still easier to play than 010's of a regular brand. The sound is warmer with a slightly subdued attack and output is a bit lower.

If you want a set of jazz lights 11-50, with a wound 3rd, these are the ones. Great value strings for Jazz or fusion.
