Great deal as always. The only thing that I would like to have seen added that out last multi core had was a hook that slips under the foot of the mixer to hold the xlr's at the desk and stops any strain and prevents the XLR's being accidentaly pulled out. (we have just done that with a loop made from a cable tie to do the job)

Not tried it yet, but...
So far so good. Ordered on Tuesday night, delivered Friday morning! It's quite a bit smaller than our last one, a peavey 16/4 from about 30 years ago, about half the size. So we'll see if this lasts as long as that one... The build seems pretty sturdy, thick plastic for the frame and drum, though the centre (where the connections are) and rotating parts are all metal. XLRs all seems good quality. Cable is pretty thin (14mm instead of out old 1") though I knew that before I bought it. Hopefully it will stand the test of time. The part that splits out also seems good, with a strain relief that can be hooked onto other equipment. There is no way of fastening the cables to the drum for transport, so I'll have to construct something with velcro myself.
As the sizes aren't given on thomann, it is H35cm, W32cm, D20cm. My packaging also said it is from this company: had the following written on the packaging '30m MTS-TR 16/4 Amphenol, Schill GT310, 94002-30'.
Only 4 starts, as I have no idea how long it will last. I'll come back it 20 years to increase it if it makes it that far ;-)

Some small things make a big difference
When the MTS1604-30 first arrived, I thought Thomann had gotten the order wrong. The packaging was just too small and light. I was totally surprised when I opened the box! There it was, a beautifully compact, 20 channel, 30 m multicore. The technology has come such a long way since the previous one I ordered. Love it. And it works great too. Not a single issue so far.

Ideal for smaller scale live music events
First of all, it is amazingly compact. Very portable and easy to use. The connections and reel are also of good quality, and I can imagine that this equipment is going to last for some time.

Great small multicable
Great quality multicore cable with drum, the drum has a brake lever wich is a must unless you want a mess when transporting. The amphenol connectors are good enough and will probably last quite a while. It misses one star because it doesn't have a builtin hook on the brakeout end to cut strain on the connectors. And at one occasion the xlr release lock have become stuck, but it released with abit of fiddling about..

Pro Snake Multicore
This unit is very well designed and does exatly what it is needed to do. I have used it on a couple of live band gigs and it is small and lightweight and easy to run around the venue. It also has good quality connectors. Overall this is an great product and great value for money. Will be buying another one for my company soon.

Pro Snake multicore
This is a very well designed unit and does exactly what it is designed to do with good quality connectors. The drum is so light in weight and so small, compared to its predecessor, it is hard to believe that it is such good quality. It works great and represents good value for money.
