Lascio questa recensione dopo quasi due mesi di utilizzo nel mio studio, acusticamente trattato per avere una risposta più professionale possibile dell’ambiente.
Premetto che da 15 anni utilizzo una coppia di Genelec 8030A alle quali periodicamente unisco un secondo ascolto (a volte anche con sub) per avere un diverso punto di vista.
Questa volta ho deciso di provare monitor con woofer da 8 per avere un paragone di tipo diverso e la scelta è caduta sulle MR824.
Dal primo momento in cui le ho accese sono rimasto positivamente sorpreso: ascolto equilibrato, con bassi sufficientemente profondi e acuti cristallini. Nessuna fatica d’ascolto (come spesso avviene in casse di fascia bassa). Naturalmente per tenere il prezzo così basso i tecnici Mackie hanno ridotto le regolazioni, che sono poche ma efficaci. Nessun DSP, ma se avete una stanza acusticamente trattata ne sentirete poco il bisogno. Dal primo momento ho deciso che le avrei tenute.
La costruzione è solida e sinora non ha dato problemi, ma è meglio non alzare troppo il volume. Il dettaglio è notevole. Nessun fruscio di fondo e pochissimo riscaldamento. Nel complesso meritano in pieno 5 stelle. Per avere monitor migliori con woofer da 8 bisogna spendere cifre molto più elevate!
In passato ho utilizzato altri prodotti Mackie e, nonostante la fascia di prezzo, sono sempre rimasto soddisfatto. Spero che anche con le MR824 sarà lo stesso.
In conclusione: per le fasi di produzione sono ottime e piacevoli. Per il mixing vanno pure bene, ma si rischia di lasciare troppo basse le frequenze medie, per cui un passaggio con le Genelec preferisco farlo!
