packs (easier) onto a smaller pedalboard – works just like its big brother.
i'm putting together a smaller / lighter / simpler pedalboard for when i'm on the move, with my favourite effects (slowly, but luckily) appearing as computer plug-ins... and my usual Lehle Mono Volume pedal takes too much space for it.
same build quality, same action feeling, same flawless response (and dynamics, too) – the volume pot has been replaced by three different gain values that are toggled in cycle, which i actually like even more: it allows precisely repeatable settings, so i don't have to waste time trying to guess or match at what gain i set noise-gates and dynamics thresholds to.
sonically, there's nothing to say: pedal simply isn't there, audibly.
my "regular" volume pedal's been on my (now) big pedalboard for years, since Lehle launched it, without any change in behaviour or output or mechanical feeling... and i can't see a reason for the "S" version being any different, in these regards.
so much clever engineering, such impeccable build quality, set the Lehle Volume Pedal in a class by itself – regular, or small (this one), there's simply none such!
