Best in its field but...
I was looking for something to control a basic lighting set for our small folk band. The Bigfoot seems to be the best hardware choice.
Pro's: - It is solidly built, and seems flexible in patching DMX features to the controls.
Cons: The major fault is that there is no way to control the steps of a chase except through tap or music. it would be so much easier if one of the foot switches advanced the chase to the next scene. There is a work around outlined in an article in the "Learn Stage lighting" site, but it is clumsy. Also, the speed of a chase is not memorised, so the chase starts at the speed of the last time it was used, and hitting the tempo button does not stop the chase.
So, it is good , but with some tweaks to the system, would be great.

1st unit ok...second one great
Defective screen on first unit. Thomann sent a second one ASAP.....great service. The unit works well, and does what we wanted it to do. Well built.

Great unit for a musician who does lighting too
I use this board for managing my lights during our set.
I have several scenes setup to suit the different lighting configs that we use in my band. this includes controlling wash / pars and moving heads.
It is really handy having the Manually dimmer / fade and tap tempo under your feet while playing at the same time as you can adapt your show on the fly.
Its is heavy and well built, only downside is no IEC connector but rather a DC power source( personal choice). The plus point of this power supply though is that you have to screw it into the bigfoot so the connection is reliable. it has been a great investment.

Cracking DMX foot controller
Looked long and hard for a programmable foot controller that didn't a software solution as I;m already using my laptop to run the PA.
This does the job. It took a little while to program but once I'd got my head round it I found it to be quite intuitive. Love the blackout switch and the ability to adjust the tempo of the lights live with the pedal.

Just bought a second unit
This is the best unit I’ve found for a band playing small clubs to good size parks and outdoor events. I play guitar and control lights with some effort, but the effect is stunning once you get it down. Washes, party lights, movers all in one compact foot unit, built like a tank too!
No other band in our vicinity has the lighting that we have. Period.
Room for improvement?
The power plug is not US friendly requiring an adapter and not easily replaced if it breaks.
A Youtube tutorial in English would be greatly appreciated. You really have to commit yourself to learning this thing by reading subtitles. It’s a hard learning curve but worth it. Wouldn’t take much to ease that curve and sell more units.
More chases and fixture inputs!

Live band working light board
Great kit for stage work. I use two controllers, a straight forward ADJ wireless for white spots / floods to band then gobos, moving heads, colour pars via big foot, the dimmer is a big plus as it allows impact during the set.

Great controller
I bought this unit mainly because of the extra two pedals that it has compared to other controllers, Fade and Master Dimmer. A few reviewers have said it's difficult to program, I didn't find this to be the case. As long as you read the manual and understand the instructions you will have it up and running in no time. The unit itself is very sturdy but the power supply not so much. I normally have spare power supplies that will work when required in an emergency but this power supply utilises a special two pin plug which I have found difficult to source, we shall have to see how long the very thin cable lasts
