Stiekem toch geen lpf
Op zoek naar iets anders dan de klassieke low pass filter kwam ik al snel bij low pas gates uit. Deze Erica synths module leek veel mogelijkheden de hebben voor de prijs en dus de sprong maar gewaagd. Ik kan zeggen dat ik zeker aangenaam verrast was. Deze module kan lekker schreeuwen en door de ingebouwde VCA kan je ook de gebruikelijke volume drop van een lpf vermijden. Ook de cv input en ingebouwde EG zorgen dat er veel mogelijk is maar dat je niet noodzakelijk veel andere modules moet in zetten om hier het meeste uit te halen.
Voor wie een filter zoekt met een eigen karakter is deze zeker aan te raden. Het enige nadeel vind ik dat je de cutoff wel een heel stuk moet openen voor hij echt iets door laat, maar dan is echt genieten. Kan door de drive switch ook van eerder klassiek lpf geluid tot bijna 303 achtig geschreeuw en veel meer.
Voor wie een filter zoekt met een eigen karakter is deze zeker aan te raden. A solid combo module and a great sound
The build quality is simply excellent. The knobs and switches feel sturdy and build to last. Everything works smoothly. The module is definitely pleasant to use and looks gorgeous.
Being a combination of VCA and low pass VCF, the Black LPG really shines when both are used together. The typical vactrol snappy sound is a real joy. The VCF used standalone provides a great sound too.
The drive switch brings another layer of character to the sound. From fat and buttery lows to screaming highs (with the resonance set fully clockwise) the Black LPG has it all.
The EG output is a welcome addition to the ins and outs of the module. It is very useful indeed to drive another sound somewhere else in the rack.
The Black LPG does not provide any CV input to drive the resonance. Though it would be a nice-to-have feature, considering the fact that the place on the front of the module is limited, I think that an EG output instead of a CV for the resonance was the right decision to make.

Un lpg avec du caractère
ce module mérite d’être essayé. Je trouve particulièrement intéressant la fonction filtre qui apporte une douceur et une rondeur au son. Il sublimera un Dpo. La résonance et la petite distortion donne du chien au son. Ce n’est certe pas un lpg classique mais un module qui s’inspire de tout ça pour devenir un module original et personnel. Si vous chercher un lpg classique et tranchant allez plutôt voir vers d’autres constructeurs, mais si vous chercher un module qui un caractère bien distinct avec de la personnalité prenez le. La construction est impeccable, la course des boutons douce et précise même s’il faut arriver à un certain stade pour déclencher le filtre. Un sans faute et décidément un module inventif et de grande qualité. Bravo erica synth.
