Epiphone Slash AFD LP Performance Pack
When I first opened the box, the only thing I could think was 'wow'. It's a really nice guitar pack for starters! The guitar itself is beautiful, in sound and in appearance. The amplifier is better than expected, it has a nice, bright sound. I also really like the fact that you can plug in headphones! Because of that you can always play the guitar plugged in to the amplifier, without worrying about making to much noise for people around.
The only thing I would recommend is, when you're buying this package, also buy a set of thicker strings. The ones that are on the guitar aren't bad, but they are quite thin and that makes the sound of the guitar less bright and a little squeaky. Thicker ones give more volume and make the guitar sound better.
Besides that; really worth your money and definitely a package I would recommend. It totally lived up to my expectations.

Good sound but unfortunately disappointing overall quality
I should first start with the point that I am not a guitar player, nor a professional musician but rather a hobbyist. I bought the set mainly as I wanted to buy a budget guitar anyway and I also turn out to be a GN'R fan.
Overall I am somewhat disappointed with this purchase mainly due to the poor quality of an Epiphone product which is privileged to be an official replica of a Gibson iconic instrument. And although the sound is good enough, other important details such as the paint job for instance as well as the pickups finish lack quality and this, in my opinion, should not be the case with one of the more expensive and genuine replicas of Gibson on the market.
As a conclusion - I would go with Harley Benton if I had to make the purchase now which offers identical or even better quality but is fairly affordable as a price!

I bought this as the most basic and cheapest (know brand) guitar I could find with amp. been using it now for 4 years and it is beautiful
to get the most out of it takes tinkering setting action, intonation, pickup pole pieces height and also overall pickup height,
the tone out of the box is warm but muddy especially on the mids when cranking up the gain, once received swapped string immediately for super slinky's.
it is a great guitar especially for rhythm players being a hard rocker myself it works the charm.
only con for me personally is the string resonance when you strum for a whole note, it sound like a phasing effect, but mix it up with palm mutes and your good to go.

This is fine if you're learning.
If you're a learner, the exact sound doesn't matter all that much, so I wouldn't bother about it too much.
But it also seems to go out of tune quite a bit, so that is indeed worrisome at times. And I don't know if the on-board tuner is as reliable as it should be. The Amplifier could certainly be smaller.
