suono unico ma vanno capite

Le Aquarian De Johnette sono delle pelli uniche, fantastiche sotto molti aspetti: secche ma molto risonanti.
Sto cercando da oltre un mese di trovare la giusta accordatura e ogni giorno scopro qualcosa di interessante.
Non sono "immediate" come altre tipologie di pelli, ma vanno studiate e capite.
PRO: esteticamente fantastiche, suono unico
CONTRO: usate solo bacchette con punta in nylon...la punta in legno assorbe la tinta nera e sporca i piatti di nero!

A slightly thicker head at 10mil that the standard 7mil "Texture Coated", and as such delivers a "wetter" tom sound.
Although I initially liked this wetter sound I felt that they lacked projection compared to the standard TC's that I've used for many years.
Probably great if you're in a miked up situation but hard work in an acoustic environment.

It was good to check them out but I don't feel that they were worth the higher price point. I'll change back to TC's for the next gig.

maybe it's because they have Jack de Johnette printed on the head, so that when I look down at my drums while playing I get inspired, maybe it's the black rough texture that just looks so good, or maybe it's the tone like no other heads I've ever played; (and I've been playing since the mid 70's. you can tune then tight and high, or low and funky, they are simply the best heads I've ever played, end of story...

Sehr schönes, schwarzes Jazzfell. Die speziell aufgeraute Oberfläche lässt sich prima mit Besen spielen und gibt den Toms einen warmen, offenen Klang.
Die Felle können in speziellen Fällen auch im Rock Bereich verwendet werden, denn sie haben genug punch und geben der Tom nochmal einen speziellen Schub und eine spezielle Klangfarbe.
