Le graal !

J'ai toujours rêvé de posséder cet ampli, depuis mes débuts à la basse, grâce à la simulation "B MAN" disponible sur un ampli portable bien connu en forme de cube. Voir en plus Mike Dirnt jouer sur ce modèle en live et envoyer du lourd a fini de me convaincre de choisir ce modèle. Et enfin, c'est cette année que j'ai pu me l'offrir ! Et je ne suis pas déçu. Deux canaux, Vintage et Overdrive, nous permettant d'obtenir le son de basse rétro tant convoité, mais aussi des sons plus ou moins sales à la Lemmy Kilmister. Et cette puissance ! Les basses de l'EQ m'offre un punch inimaginable, et les médiums sont d'une beauté dont seul les Fender Bassman ont le secret. Et cerise sur le gâteau : moi qui pensais prendre un risque en prenant un ampli trop puissant pour ma config (concerts dans les bars et en extérieur), je me suis surpris à constater que, correctement réglé, l'ampli est jouable à la maison, à bas volume !

J'ai cependant eu la malchance de tomber sur un produit défectueux (système Auto Bias H.S), qu j'ai pu renvoyer et échanger grâce à l'efficacité du service SAV de Thomann (milles merci Justin !).

been around since the 70s n heard/used Hiwatt-Marshall-Roland with Hofner-Fender-Rickenbacker-MusicMan. This is my very top choice for a valve amp that delivers good either in studio and live.

pros: pre and final valve amp; a smart biasing system that really let you choose how to manage the valves/sound; easy to carry and a typical Fender heavy duty crafting; just listen that Beatles "Here Comes the Sun" bass tone to mention one of the possibilities; you can select any of the two channel settings with the provided footswitch (quite handy on stage); it can be used alone in studio with *no* speakers .

cons: imho none! the price matches the quality you get
IMHO the promotional video doesn't really show you what you could get with this pearl...

my choice was to have two Fender 115 Neo boxes to handle the massive 300W RMS (not to mention when you capture that clear sound with a mic...)

Seriously. Just buy it.
I've had mine now 5 years.

I wish I could give it a hug and say nice things to it everytime I go into my rehearsal room. Except I've a problem with showing affection and intimacy.

It's my altar where I sacrifice blackened doom riffs continually without fail. I slake it's thirst with a never ending stream of low end fuzz chugging and it repays me in kind with the fattest, deep growl of a tone any boi would hope and dream for.

Fender Super Bassman - vintage valve amp.

The Fender Super Bassman is a quality amplifier with loads of power and a full range of sounds. I prefer the tradition classic fender sound available in the vintage channel 1, but the overdrive channel packs lots of extra punch in channel 2. The amp is very heavy as valve amps usually are. It is well worth the extra effort to transport and maintain however. It is built to Fender USA's high standard. I have had many Fender bass amps over many years since the 1960s and this was no disappointment.
