The wait is over: after reviewing the final performances, our jury has chosen the winner of this year’s Montreux Jazz Festival Contest.
Huge congratulations to TANTFREAKY! 🎉
The band has earned the top spot and will be taking the stage at the Montreux Jazz Festival. Alongside the performance slot, TANTFREAKY will receive travel and accommodation support, Shure equipment worth €7,000, and an artist fee of €3,000.

Selecting the winner was no easy task. The final round showed just how much talent, creativity, and musical identity this contest brought together.
This year’s jury was made up of:

Playing live at the iconic Montreux Jazz Festival is the kind of opportunity bands dream about. Together with Shure and the Montreux Jazz Festival, we set out to make that dream possible once again. 🎵
🎤✨Applications are officially closed – and the response was incredible. We received a huge number of submissions from talented artists around the world, and we want to thank every band and musician who joined in. The creativity, energy, and passion in your entries were seriously inspiring. ❤️
With so many strong submissions, narrowing it down was no easy task. But the Top 10 finalists have now been selected – and the next step is in your hands. Vote for the act you want to see move forward and show your support.
The 3 artists with the most votes will advance to the final jury round, where the winning band will be chosen.
Voting is open until May 31st, 2026.
Voting is over, the results will be announced soon! 🎉
