Perfection for Percussionists

Over the years, I have experimented with many different rods/sticks/brushes for my percussion setup. I mainly play with acoustic musicians at modest volume levels and, until now, nothing I have tried has been versatile enough to sound good on a wide range of drums, blocks, bells and cymbals. But these rods are PERFECT. I am so happy to have discovered them. They have exactly the right combination of stiffness, density and flex to feel and sound great on most kinds of instrument. On cymbals they play beautifully, with a huge dynamic range, infinitely better than any other rods I have tried. The only situation where I now prefer solid sticks is for crisp snare drum playing.

Time will tell how durable they are, but so far they appear to be very robust and well made.

A brilliant product!

The sound is good, not too comfy but playable

While the internal part is impeccable, the plastic that covers them got damaged after playing for some days, which makes it not possible to keep using, unless you tape them...

they don't sound like the wood ones, they sound louder, but still manageable for small acoustic gigs. Not too comfortable, but not as bad, it is carbon fiber so...

Ich habe mir die Kuppmen Drumrods bestellt, da ich neugierig war wie sie sich spielen lassen und wie sie klingen. Ich war bei beiden Punkten positiv überrascht und kann sie nur weiterempfehlen.
Der Klang ist sehr präzise und trozdem nicht zu laut. Im Gegensatz zu klassischen Hot Rods halten sie deutlich mehr aus, wenn es mal etwas kraftvoller werden soll. Außerdem finde ich das Design und die Haptik super.
Von mir also eine Kaufemfehlung, zumal der Preis mit anderen Rods gut mithalten kann.

Je trouve qu'il y a un très bon rapport souplesse/rigidité.
Parfait pour la batterie mais également pour d'autres percussions. Je les utilise pour du jazz et des styles folkloriques latino-américain.
Pratique aussi pour des répétitions dans des petites salles : petit son.
Ma dernière paire m'a duré environs 10 ans. J'espère bien que celle ci vont durer aussi longtemps. Elles ont l'air solides également.
Je les recommande.
