Versatile hard rock guitar
Anonymous 30.01.2016
I had this gutar for about six months now and I'm very glad I bought it. By now I used it for several shows and many rehearsals and it did good.

The guitar features split coil alnico pickups so you can really choose from a wide palette of different sounds. You can set your pickup switch in the middle position, split the coils and you will get a really nice, sparkly sound that nobody would expect from a hard rock, mahagony body guitar. As opposed to that, engage whole pickups and set the switch to the bridge and you'll be rocking and rolling in a second.
Other that that the neck on this guitar is really fast, and the action can get pretty low.

If I'd have to say something bad about this guitar, I would have to compare it to a Les Paul Studio that costs a LOT more money. Bad sides would be its weight because it's not a chambered guitar like Les Pauls and a bit muddier pickups.

All in all, if you're looking for a versatile, really good quality for the price, I highly recomend Schecter Omen 6 Extreme.

Perfect for the price

Schecter will never let you down, either it is a premium custom shop model, or a cheaper omen series like this, the attention to detail and quality is amazing. I own few schecters, and nevertheless this is one of my favorites, the neck profile is comfortable, and the sound, believe me, if you are a metal fan this is a perfect passive alternative, the pickups are HOT, plus, the sustain on the neck pickup is just forever, and its creamy, blues and jazz is not a problem for this one, also coil tap will take you places you've never been before with this kind of a guitar. From country to metalcore, this is a bargain. Good quality and sound, you will not regret this one.

Good guitar!

Great guitar with alot of options tone wise.
Finish not that great, binding on the guitar is not even scraped on some places the body color is on the binding. Also the fretwork is not that great, and teh binding is messy, traces of metal from polishing the frets has caught in teh binding around teh neck, little dark dent, not pretty. the bridge is made of softer metal and the dark chrome will fade fast. The push pull tone feels a bit wonky but works fine. Not bad but, not great either.
