UPDATE

The preamps coupled with great plugins create a better higher quality mix. There is noticeable difference between my previous work and my work post Apollo Twin. Just get it, you won't regret it. But do you reserach on QUAD vs DUO.

I upgraded from an SSL 2+ to this. I was surprised by how it makes my workflow much quicker. Switching between monitors and headphone volumes on the unit is super quick. The preamp quality is good, but what's more important is the plugin quality. Great for tracking. UAD plugins are high quality, close to the real thing sometimes.

Yes, DSP is an issue. I bought the DUO vs the Quad because I am a solo artist so I record everything one track at a time. I freeze tracks once I've processed them and move on so I only need DUO.

Yes I would recommend this.

Hello! I'm a music producer and guitarist and this is the love of my life . Of course you need to take one second and think :" is this the investment that I want to ?" This just change your sound from cheap to Professional . I'm not just talking about the amazing pre-amp but you have a good bundle of plugin for a Crazy price . If you are guitarist or bass player trust me this is your brother .
But now I'll tell you one sad point you don't have enough input but they are enough for an home studio . Otherwise I suggest to you to take the one with more inputs and outputs .
Have fun you will never forget it . It's like the first love or the first sex.

Great Interface

Once you get past the setup (which can be a headache if you're on M1), this interface performs exactly how you would expect.

The sound quality is great, with low noise levels and true sounding output when ignoring the unison preamps. The controls on the hardware are easy to use after the initial learning curve.

The onboard DSPs are super useful for zero latency tracking, you just have to be careful not to max them out. Certain UAD plugins hog the space quite a bit, so I recommend removing any tracking plugins after you're done with them to make room for others when you're mixing.

Overall great product, only con is the initial setup and slight learning curve for the UAD software. UAD plugins themselves are high quality and sound amazing. The included plugins are more than enough to get you started.
