Durable but doesn't absorb enough
Theo M 09.08.2016
These seem sturdy and durable enough for studio use but they just don't absorb enough sound. They will help somewhat but I just can't justify treating a room with them.

Great for basic echo reduction
RobertNorrman 04.05.2019
This is a great product for reducing echo or room reverb in rooms with hard walls and little to no textile fabrics. It’s a great start.

I use these in my studio where I record, mix and master. I also have a drum set in this room.

The physics are quite simple, if you want to reduce higher frequencies thinner absorbers like these will do just fine. If you want to absorb lower frequencies you need thicker absorbers as well as measure where these frequencies build up in your studio.

I put them directly on my walls and attached them with glue. This gives a clean look that I quite like. I have used staplers in previous similar scenarios but that does not look as good, and I do not recommend that method.

In conclusion, they will make a difference. The difference may just not be as apparent as you expect. They do not completely block out sound from other rooms or prevent sound from traveling to other rooms.

For me they work great as a transition and will be a foundation for a room-in-a-room studio I am working on.

Effective for general reverb, but thats it
Jakelundell 03.12.2020
As a noob early in his music production career i bought a bunch of theese foam absorbers with high hopes of them fixing my lowend response in a bigger 40m2 single room apartment.

Ofcourse they didn't, material isnt thick enough to reduce anything other then highend reverb, which in fairness they work fine for.

Thing is, even if you can use them for a reverbated room they aren't that pleasing to look at after a while.

Do yourself a favour and get the real stuff, either from thomann or Hofa. Sucks spending money on soundtreatment, but you only have to do it once.

Dämpar ljudet ok
Feo79 19.10.2016
