This mic truly is a great sounding mic. The 1" capsule is extremely sensitive and you can get some really comfy vocals out of it.
You can also inadvertently get some great recordings of headphone cables brushing up against your clothing, cars driving in the next town over and the occasional conversation on the ISS.
If you're looking at getting a great vocal mic, you're going to have to have an even better space to record in. Trying to get the sound of the room out of a recording using the NT2-A isn't easy. It captures every reflection and then some.
I've resorted to using an SM7B for most of my recordings, because I don't have a good room to record in. If you do, the NT2-A will serve you well.
