I got this exclusively for studio use, focusing on recording and reamping of guitars and basses, so the focus is on what I'd handle an amp/cab/mic combo in the studio. Previously using Helix an Kemper, the Quad Cortex excells with regard to sound quality and versatility, with more dynamic and real sounding models (to the Helix) and more versatile uses of both models and captures (to the Kemper). The user interface in v.1.0 is already way beyond any competition, as I don't want to rely on PC editors.
The downside is that as it's still brand new, it still lacks a few features, especially regarding pre and post FX compared to the more mature products. That's not really significant for me as I use it in the studio, but I hope to see a wider range of good pre FX to reduce the pedal clutter and increase reliabiliy for studio use.
